maggie2010 Posted June 5, 2016 #1 Share Posted June 5, 2016 About to embark on a TA crossing in November & expect it to be too cold for sitting around pool. Does anyone know do they heat the solarium pool during the cooler weather & what type of activities do they have during cooler weather. Travelling on Navigator of the Seas with six sea days. champagne123 Posted June 5, 2016 #4 Share Posted June 5, 2016 I have not done a Transatlantic, but I have cruised a Transpacific. Five days out and five days back....they kept everyone very busy. Many activities inside and out. We love sea days....so if you love sea days, I think you will have a fabulous time.

It WILL be cold on deck. We are doing the same itinerary next year, it is a northern route from Southampton to Boston and New York in November. I am planning lots of layers , always take a microfibre blanket so I can lay on a lounger in the Solarium. As you have been on Voyager I believe you will know there isn't a roof. The ships sometimes have blankets and seeing as Navigator has been doing Norway during her time in Southampton they should have them but don't bank in it. The hot tubs will be hot, never had heated main pools on a TA that I recall but it can be done. We did the Eastbound crossing this year on Navigator. Love sea days. Unfortunately, no heated pools (other than hot tubs) on Navigator. This is one reason why we prefer a Radiance or Vision class ship with a covered Solarium on the transatlantic cruises.
