surmy555 Posted May 10, 2004 #1 Share Posted May 10, 2004 On the Caribbean Princess do they have lunch in the dining room the day you get on the ship or is it only at Horizon Court? Thanks
missty1405 Posted May 10, 2004 #2 Share Posted May 10, 2004 I would like to know this as well for the Dawn. I have heard, the Dining rooms are open, But would like to hear it from someone that has just recently cruise this ship.
Commodore Suzy Posted May 10, 2004 #3 Share Posted May 10, 2004 The buffet is always open. The dining rooms sometimes are, and sometimes are only open to VIPs. srphnx Posted May 10, 2004 #4 Share Posted May 10, 2004 Agreed, no way to predict lunch in DR. Set your sites on the buffet or the pizza place and relax in your favorite spot till muster. pattie63 Posted May 10, 2004 #5 Share Posted May 10, 2004 Not much experience cruising but on the Grand, Coral and QE2, the dining rooms were open for lunch upon embarkation. I must say, the Coral lunch that day was fantastic. I'd at least swing by the dining room to see if they were open. It could well be worth your time. idcruisers Posted May 11, 2004 #6 Share Posted May 11, 2004 I was wondering the same for the Caribbean Princess. The patters for the Western itinerary posted on the boards showed that there was a dining room open. The Eastern patters did not. We are going Eastern on 9/18/04. Does anyone know if they are open? I would really like to avoid the long lines with 3 kids in tow. Ilise
hyerpraise Posted May 11, 2004 #7 Share Posted May 11, 2004 I went on the Golden December 2002 and the Grand September 2003 and both times the Dining Room had been open. When you board, and if you are able to go to your stateroom, check on the Princess Patter and on there will be the options for lunch. I disagree with the other post, I would set your sites on the dining room. There is nothing better than starting off your cruise with someone waiting on you. The food is also better in the dining room and I found I eat less if I go to the dining room for lunch.
