augiesmom Posted June 18, 2016 #1 Share Posted June 18, 2016 My mom and I will be sailing on the POA in November 2016 Can anyone recommend a luau that would be well worth the money. Thanks!
CruiserBruce Posted June 18, 2016 #2 Share Posted June 18, 2016 There are dozens of threads here on luaus. You will see discussions on Polynesian vs Hawaiian. ..etc. Luaus are not cheap. Only you can decide if they are "worth it". I will say we have been going to Hawaii for almost 30 years, about 25 total trips. We have not been to a luau since 1987. Freehike Posted June 19, 2016 #3 Share Posted June 19, 2016 Old Lahaina Luau or Smith Family Luau are generally considered the best. You can't go wrong with either. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

dani negreanu Posted June 19, 2016 #5 Share Posted June 19, 2016 We've done the OLL the first night in Maui. Enjoyed it very much. Reserved a good table 3 months ahead. Once in a lifetime experience :)
blueplanetpro Posted June 26, 2016 #6 Share Posted June 26, 2016 Old Lahaina Luau is the best luau on Maui, it is not associted with a resort. I am not a fan of the resort luau's as there are just too many people. The Old Lahaina Luau books out usually 3 weeks in advance during the high seasons. If you forgot to book your luau in advance and cannot get into Old Lahaina Luau, I would recommend the Feast at Lele dinner show. It is owned by the same company. Note: This is a great option for foodies or groups without children.
Freehike Posted June 30, 2016 #7 Share Posted June 30, 2016 Another vote for OLL. It was one of the highlights of our trip. Amazing show, picture perfect location.... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Quasar1011 Posted August 16, 2016 #9 Share Posted August 16, 2016 I booked the Feast of Lele, but its website doesn't show directions. Is it easy to find?
