How well does Carnival do gluten free?

IME? They need to learn how to cook gluten free better than they do. Other lines are much better at GF food. If my local Italian restaurant can properly serve gluten free pasta in the exact same way that tastes like wheat flour pasta...Carnival should be able to do it. Any pasta they gave me gluten free has a runny, water inconsistent sauce base to it. And the gluten free bread is terrible. I'm honestly not sure who, how, or why they use what they do?! There are better alternatives and recipes out there for gluten free bread than what they use. I don't eat fish/beef/shellfish/pork etc so I pretty much stick to grilled chicken as my safe point. Chocolate melting cake tasted similar to the regular version.

Boards have been doing this for a while now. Your response explains your's and other's second threads on whatever their topic is.

I can tell you that they do an excellent job. My son had to go gluten free at age 5 when he was diagnosed with Celiac and we have been on several cruises since then. You are best off in the main dining room where the allergy specialist can explain everything to you. He/she will come each night at dinner and bring the following day's menus so you can choose. Nearly everything, with very few exceptions, can be made gluten free if ordered in advance. Breakfast/brunch too. My son was able to eat cakes, pasta, escargot, and even pancakes. Cruising is his favorite time of year because he can eat so many things he doesn't always get to eat otherwise.
