I hope my pictures come out as nice as yours did.:) Practice before you go. Look at my Norwegian Jewel review in my signature line, that was my practice run with this camera. I like the sports setting, for its quick focus and shutter speed. Edited July 12, 2016 by shadowmeboy

shadowmeboy Posted July 12, 2016 Author #219 Share Posted July 12, 2016 A final look at Icy Strait Point as we sailed to Sitka. I had to leave the camera while I went swiiming. The deep pool is not heated and freezing. The shallow pool is actually warm but can be too warm. Susan and I met up and got ready for dinner. Her dress tonight was a christmas present for the cruise. Funny picture time! We always get a stairwell photo on longer cruises. they didn't have the light set up on deck 7, so they had to go get a mobile flash to take this photo. Meeting the Photo manager helped, becuase we asked to have him called and dealed directly with him. He found a mobile flash to have our picture taken. We went to Le Bistro for Dinner tonight. shadowmeboy Posted July 12, 2016 Author #221 Share Posted July 12, 2016 Napoleon A La Noisette Profiteroles We felt that the food at Le Bristro was just ok. Its lost some of its ambiance, when they undomed the plates at the table. The entrees were tasty, but we felt La Cucina had better flavor. We fould this creature upon returning to the room. Let me take a moment and say our stateroom steward was awesome. Hannah was the bomb. Friendly and always smiling, she went above and beyond. We changed and headed to the 9pm show. Cruise Director Iain wearing a Pacman suit, introducing tonights entertainer. George Solomon - doing a variety show, He would have these crazy stories lead into different songs. shadowmeboy Posted July 12, 2016 Author #223 Share Posted July 12, 2016 (edited) George pulled a young lady from the audience to come dance with him After the show, we went and played in the Casino. Susan and I love the token machines, pushing tokens off. She dropped two bill bundles that night and between the two of us 3 bottles of Champagne. We shared a bottle before bed, since we were now up to 4 bottles in the Staterrom! Icy Strait Point was awesome and if you can get a itinerary going here, book it. It was so much fun. End of day 3 -- I am going to answer a few questions I miised, then head to bed. We will explore Sitka together tomorrow! Till then! Like Love my butler said, it was probably because of the Cruise Critic Meet & Greet, and setting it up. I can't think of any other reason. We had no indication prior to getting to Seward. It was a nice surprise. our ship only had 1700 passengers (full is 1950ish), and it was a lot of first-time cruisers. I can only speculate. shadowmeboy Posted July 12, 2016 Author #225 Share Posted July 12, 2016 Do they have anyone outside speaking about the glacier ? No, there was no interpreter/Guide. I felt it was amazing without someone babbling on and on. A little history was shared by Cruise Director Iain but it was limited.
