Rental car in Juneau

What car rental agency in Juneau should I use? Trying to reserve online but not sure which I should go with and what is closest to ship.

In 2012 we used Rent A Wreck (now Juneau Car Rental). It was within walking distance of the cruise port.

Got to ask why.

There's only 50 miles of paved road in Juneau.

The last time we were in Juneau we rented a van (there were 8 of us) and used Rent a Wreck as well and they were great. Cheapest I found and the van was less than a year old and in great condition.

Having a vehicle made it nice because we were able to visit many things on our own schedule - Chapel by the Lake, Mendenhall Glacier, Alaskan Brewing Company as well as drive to the airport where we took a plane over the glaciers. I highly recommend getting a car (or van for groups).
