CozGurl Posted July 29, 2016 #1 Share Posted July 29, 2016 I'm tired of searching threads so I'll just ask my questions :D What sort of table games do they have and what are the limits? Do they have poker tournaments? If so, how much is the buy in? I saw something about video Hold 'Em. Can anyone confirm that? What are the slot amounts? Nickel? Penny? Dollar only? Do they have all of the other regular roulette, craps etc.?
freedomcruiser891 Posted July 29, 2016 #2 Share Posted July 29, 2016 Can't answer about a lot of the table games but there was video Texas hold 'em for sure. Slots range from $0.01 and up but they require $0.40-$0.60 minimum to play? We went for fun not really serious players so maybe somebody else can explain the minimums for slots better LOL. I also know that they did have a poker tournament but I have no idea what the buy in was. Sorry! There was roulette and craps from what I saw but never played those. I know they also had blackjack and I think the minimum for that was $5 if I'm not mistaken
Namelocg Posted July 29, 2016 #3 Share Posted July 29, 2016 They have blackjack, three card poker, ultimate Texas holdem, let it ride, also roulette and craps. Blackjack is usually $6, $10 and $25. Roulette is usually $10 and craps can be $5 or $10. Theyou have all denominations of machines from pennies on up. There is usually video holdem. There are always slot and blackjack tournaments. Don't know about poker. Hope this info helps.
winddawn Posted July 29, 2016 #4 Share Posted July 29, 2016 Tournaments cost $25 and platinum guests get 2 for 1. They are usually held on sea days. They'll usually have the slot tournament one sea day and the blackjack tournament on a different sea day. Sometimes casino staff will do activities in the casino, such as hot seat where they randomly pick people playing to win cash prizes, or big loot draw where you earn one entry for every 100 machine points earned and then they draw for cash. Be sure you play with your card so you get credit toward comps and possible future cruise discounts or free cruises and invitations to casino events. I was on the Dream two summers ago and never saw any of that. The only thing I got free was drinks after hitting the point minimum (which was early, like day two IIRC). Never got an offer for a free cruise or anything, and my card was in the slot the whole time.
Elaine5715 Posted July 31, 2016 #7 Share Posted July 31, 2016 Unless you are a heavy hitter, they usually don't give out a bounce back " free" cruise if you already have a cruise booked. I believe they only have a number of bounce backs to give out and offer them to the top players so depending on each cruise and how many other players have accumulated the most points and how many of them have another cruise booked determines how far down the list they go. stobe1 Posted July 31, 2016 #8 Share Posted July 31, 2016 (edited) Beware!!! I am a blackjack junkie. Just watch which table you are at. The $6 tables pay 6:5, $10 and up tables pay 3:2. Also...stay away from the Fun 21 tables. Stay far, far away!!! Also, beware that Carnival's blackjack tables are continuous shuffle. There are no "shoes" to speak of. So if you are superstituous like me and always make big bets at the start of a new shoe, that won't be possible at Carnival's tables. dameanwhite Posted July 31, 2016 #9 Share Posted July 31, 2016 I have a generic casino question. Do they take cash, or are they like the rest of the boat and you use your ship card? And yes, stay away from "super fun" 21.... Strayed into that game once in California, it just ain't right.

TNShadyLady Posted July 31, 2016 #11 Share Posted July 31, 2016 Yes, you can use cash in the slots. You can also draw down from your S&S card if you want to save your cash.
tofinochris Posted August 5, 2016 #12 Share Posted August 5, 2016 They have Let It Ride? lol, I haven't seen that game in a casino in BC, WA, OR, or Vegas in like ten years. They must be too cheap to get rid of the felt :)

FYI, you are obviously staying away from fun 21 as they don't use the continuous shuffler, they hand shuffle at the end of each "shoe"...) FYI, the last several cruises I have been on all the fun 21 tables paid 3:2 at $6 min.... FYI, I prefer fun 21 as you can win more often and play more aggressive if you know how to play... Just my cup of tea..)

They must be too cheap to get rid of the felt :) That was a dying game until the added the 3 & 5 card bonus. It made the game more fun and better chances for other payouts
