ClawhammerBanjo Posted August 11, 2016 #1 Share Posted August 11, 2016 Hello, I am looking at this tour (code MR93). My wife can do some walking on level surfaces if she takes regular breaks and goes at her own pace. Has anyone been on this and can describe the walking involved to me? For example it says "In Cassis, take the petit train touristique (little tourist train) to the Vieux Port for an enchanting guided stroll." Is that optional? Part of the structure? Or perhaps just a suggestion to spend our time? Thanks! Andy
Norcruiser Posted August 11, 2016 #2 Share Posted August 11, 2016 (edited) On the way to Cassis you drive through a national park, then you go to a sea cliff with stunning views. 50 meters to go from the buss on a pebble path. Then you go to Cassis it self, where the little tourist train take you from the buss parking lot down to the centrum of Cassis. It drops you of aproximately 100m from the harbour. From there it is downhill. Your guide will give you a meeting time at the train and one alternative in the harbour. My mother has bad knees and used her own time to get down and back up again. Then you have your freetime, Cassis is quite charming and very french. We had som pastries, walked around and had a drink in the sun. We enjoyed this excursion!
