Hotel For A Day

Has anyone used a hotel for a day near LAX? Are there any with airport shuttles. We basically have an entire day to kill when we get off the ship as we have a 10:30pm flight home. Looking for a "nicer" hotel and not one that charges by the hour! Thanks.

you won't find free hotel shuttles from the port to LAX -- too far.

The Hilton is a good option. Day rooms are about $100, and they are one of the few hotels I have ever seen where you can reserve a day room right in the website. They offer a free shuttle from LAX to the hotel, but you would need to cab or Uber to the port.

The Four Points by Sheraton has a 24 hour room rate, meaning you can check-in at any time and you have the room for 24 hours from that point so there isn't the usual 11AM out, 3PM in.

 

Be sure to ask for that rate when you book. They have a nice pool area.

 

The Hilton and Sheraton are my least favorite hotels at LAX. The Marriott, Westin and Renaissance are all nice.
