emileg Posted August 17, 2016 #1 Share Posted August 17, 2016 We just returned to Cunard after an eight year absence. We took the eastbound TA on the QM2 from August 9-16. While we enjoy our cruises on other lines, including Celebrity, Princess and Royal Caribbean, I have to say that it was such a pleasure not having to use my earplugs to block out deafening sound levels as I have to do on other lines. All productions shows and guest entertainers at the Royal Court Theatre kept the decibel levels within reasonable limits. The earplugs remained in my pocket. Congratulations, Cunard:):):)

Adammara Posted August 17, 2016 #3 Share Posted August 17, 2016 One of the main reasons we left Celebrity was the loud music, their loss, Cunards gain!
jimmybean Posted August 17, 2016 #4 Share Posted August 17, 2016 One of the many things we love about sailing on Cunard ships! Unwanted, loud background music is a non-issue. Happy Sailing to those new to Cunard!
emileg Posted August 19, 2016 Author #5 Share Posted August 19, 2016 One of the main reasons we left Celebrity was the loud music, their loss, Cunards gain! I guess the main reason we continue to sail on Celebrity is because of their regular repeating itineraries that make it easier to find one that is convenient to when we are able to travel. Food seems to be declining on Celebrity, but service is excellent.
