Beachammo Posted August 27, 2016 #1 Share Posted August 27, 2016 Hello MSCers.... Talking my mother on the Divina next month as my wife has an event she can't get out of. I'm a Black card member (status match from Royal). Will my mother (who has no card or status) be able to attend Black Card functions with me? On Royal the answer would be NO On Celebrity the answer would be YES Are there even any tier events with MSC?? Thanks BeachAmmo
TheCaveman Posted August 31, 2016 #2 Share Posted August 31, 2016 although i will only be black after my next MSC cruise, ( earned it the hard way :D ) each time, we attended an invite only event, they only checked my card, and my wife just walked in with me. so i do not think, it will be an issue... Thank you for the reply..... I'm sure MSC black cards passengers that "earned it the hard way" aren't roo thrilled with the status match. I can only imagine the Royal boards if it was the other way around.
Rare LMaxwell Posted August 31, 2016 #4 Share Posted August 31, 2016 Do you mean the welcome back / cocktail type receptions? Yes, she can walk in with you no problem. Also, since you are black card you will still get 1 free specialty dinner for two; so go enjoy.
Skier52 Posted August 31, 2016 #5 Share Posted August 31, 2016 The event where they hand out the chocolate ships might be a bit different, she may have to politely decline one if it is offered as they have the exact number of ships for guests who say they are attending. Sometimes the ships are just left in the cabin so that won't be an issue. Pete

Skier52 Posted September 1, 2016 #7 Share Posted September 1, 2016 Thanks Everyone.... Looking forward to the Yacht Club and going over to the dark side. Does the chocolate ship taste good?? Probably give it to my grandson. We quite liked the taste of the chocolate ship, not quite in the class of Belgian chocolate but about as good as a typical dark chocolate as made by Cadbury's or Green and Black's ( UK brands of chocolate). We only had 6 ships on or last cruise, two 14 night B2B cruises, due mainly to a computer booking error which had me as 4 x 7 night B2B cruises and DW as 2 x 14 night B2B cruises, 6 cruises in total = 6 chocolate ships.
