Spideysmum Posted September 1, 2016 #1 Share Posted September 1, 2016 I've followed cruise critic for enough time to discern that Princess send notices of a suggested board time....which many posters seem to say to ignore. I am a newbie cruiser and a stickler for rules (even suggested rules) So then, here we are in Vancouver - two days before embarkation - and nothing except a check list of things not to forget. I have no idea when we should head over to the terminal. This is hard for any neurotic rule follower. On the other hand I've decided that I could stay forever in Vancouver. Can't imagine ship life could be more fun than this enchanting city. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
JF - retired RRT Posted September 1, 2016 #2 Share Posted September 1, 2016 Show up anytime after 11, you'll be OK. If you can find your "Travel Summary", your boarding time will be there. I'm not sure where they hide it. :o

hpeabody Posted September 1, 2016 #4 Share Posted September 1, 2016 You did print luggage tags and boarding passes, right?
Spideysmum Posted September 1, 2016 Author #5 Share Posted September 1, 2016 Thanks JF. Found the elusive Travel Summary. A little ambiguous. Says to arrive either between ten and noon or two pm and three pm. I'm blue status and never cruised. Not even hoping for lunch aboard...but what the heck, getting there elevenish will let us sleep in and maybe the terminal will provide interesting people-watching. Spideysmum Posted September 1, 2016 Author #6 Share Posted September 1, 2016 Hpeabody - BP says nothing. Just sail time is 4:30 pm. I was waiting for a personal invitation. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
kathyt939 Posted September 1, 2016 #7 Share Posted September 1, 2016 You will get lunch. Just get to the ship and go up to deck 14 to horizon court buffet. Have fun! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Kathy
Potstech Posted September 1, 2016 #8 Share Posted September 1, 2016 As others have said go to the terminal about 11:00 and follow the rest of the passengers. Why not get on board and start enjoying your cruise.
bigchid Posted September 1, 2016 #9 Share Posted September 1, 2016 I think the suggested show up time is an effort to reduce the lines, but waiting in the airport (for example) or waiting to board is still waiting, and waiting in line to board will get you on sooner in most cases.
