argent nc Posted October 30, 2005 #1 Share Posted October 30, 2005 Hi folks, Is there any way to find out ahead of time if our stateroom is nonsmoking? Does Explorer have non-smoking decks? I don't have asthma, I'm not allergic to smoke or anything, I just hate the lingering smell that a smoking room has. My DH's parents arranged everything (it's their 40th wedding anniversary) so I don't even have the name/number of a travel agent to call. best, Laura
Rala Posted October 30, 2005 #2 Share Posted October 30, 2005 There are no non-smoking cabins on any RCCL ships. If you smoke all you have to do is ask your cabin steward for an ashtray. I have been on over 10 RCCL cruises and have never smelled smoke in any of our cabins (I hate it as well!). They do a great job of deodorizing the cabins with some kind of an ion machine, if necessary. If you should have a problem, tell your cabin steward, but I really think your cruise will be smoke odor-free!! Have a great time!!!
