balcony

I have sailed on many cruises...ocean and river. I enjoy having a balcony on relaxing warm cruises. However, I have sailed in the Baltic twice without a balcony. I never missed it. The Baltic cruise is usually port intensive. You are off the ship exploring. Baltic cruises can be rough especially sailing in the North Sea. if the balcony is complimentary, take it. If not, save your money and use it for something else. Baltic ports can be expensive.

We have been offered a C2 balcony on our Baltic cruise what are your opinions about these cabins any advice greatly appreciated:)

That is a wonderful offer!

Ok, I am a bit puzzled, who made the offer? Are you booked and this is an upgrade? Are you booked and this is the 'GTY' cabin assigned?

We have cruised in a C2 cabin and they are the same size as every other cabin with a veranda, 194 sq ft. The C2 if on the angle of the hump will have a tad bigger balcony.

I have sailed in a C2 cabin while doing the Baltic, but it was on the slant of the hump with a larger balcony. The seas were calm, so no issues; however, I did a Western Med cruise in a C2 a little farther aft and the rough seas made the cabin creek all night long...but it was only 1 or 2 nights!

On our Baltic cruise next year, Balcony cabins are less that OVs so it is a no-brainer for me. Why they are less, I do not know. We reserved a 2B hump cabin on the Silhouette. I don't particularly like OVs because we like to watch the docking and undocking from our balcony. If it is no cost, go for it. You have nothing to lose. You at least will gain a floor to ceiling window.

Does anyone know which cabins are obstructed views in the C2 on the Continental deck?

Which ship?

Didn't think there were any C2 obstructed views on any X ship?

OP,

Just checking, it's definitely a C2 and not 2C cabin you're referring to as the Continental Deck is deck 6 (no C2s on that deck)?

Enjoy your cruise and don't worry about obstructions. C2 are not obstructed on any ship. 2Cs have some obstructions. I have been in 2Cs and enjoyed them. Even a 2D is acceptable. Celebrity cabins are never fully obstructed. Unfortunately, there are other cruise lines that do have fully obstructed cabins.
