Sea conditions experienced Hawaii to Vancouver in May.

Reading on these boards, I noticed that some passengers experienced rough seas in the Pacific while on board Solstice in the fall ( Vancouver to Hawaii in September). I did not read anything regarding the eastbound crossing in the spring.

 

I know that weather can be unpredictable; however, some weather patterns tend to be repetitive. Therefore, I would be interesting to hear from passengers, how were the sea conditions for the eastbound Hawaii -Vancouver trip; and if rough sea conditions were encountered, how did it impact your sea days experience or made you feel?

We boarded Solstice Apr 28, 2014 in Honolulu and had a really smooth trip. However, we are not bothered by rough seas, so what we thought was smooth might not have been described that way by someone prone to seasickness. This year we were on Millennium for the same trip. Smooth seas then too. It's a great cruise.

It was smooth. We were on that sailing and it was very smooth. Hoping for the same next September.

I was on the spring sailing this year and didn't think it was rough, it was even sunnier and warmer then I expected.

I was also on the Hawaii to Vancouver sailing in April (hi Bettycruiser)...smooth sailing all the way. We were in sunset verandahs and was told to expect it to be a little bumpy back there, but it was great!

Our crossing from the islands to Vancouver in late May 2003 was perfect! Remains my favorite cruise and ship (Infinity). :)

Usually rough for a couple of days.

Ours was from Hawaii to Ensenada in April and it was VERY rough. In fact, they had to close the pools because of the WAVES of water coming out of them. The wind was so strong that they had to close the doors to the deck. I know it was another month and we went South to Ensenada but it was cold, windy and rough seas. I seem to be the only one, which is good.
