NCL only charges for dinner shows. Do any of the other cruise lines have dinner shows?

RCI does not charge separately for any of the entertainment on board.

No charge for Carnival either. We will not pay for a "dinner show" on NCL.

Several cruise lines in Asia and Europe have charged / do charge for select onboard shows.

Carnival has the "Carnival Live" concert series. Select cruises have "special" performance where these the act would cone on for the evening and give their show while the ship remained in port for an extended time.

 

You have to pay extra to see these shows. It appears that if the show was of interest to you, the pricing is very fair compared to what you would have to pay to see the artist at a normal venue.

 

The line up varies each year. While they have had artists that I would consider seeing, I would not book a cruise specifically to see any of them. While they (the artists) would have a wide following, I wouldn't consider any to be a really "big" act. Of course if they ever did have a group that popular, the cruise would end up being sold out years in advance.
