rocklinmom Posted May 12, 2017 #26 Share Posted May 12, 2017 I would also like to book the British Isles cruise on the Royal in June 2018 but the prices are really high for my family of five. We have to book two cabins and there are no oceanview cabins on Royal, so it's either interiors or balconies and it's a difference of several thousand dollars. Hoping to see a good promotion for this cruise that would at least get us some OBC or prepaid gratuities. I am still debating whether to put down a deposit or not. majortom10 Posted May 12, 2017 #27 Share Posted May 12, 2017 We are hoping to do British Isles cruise on Royal in May/June 2018 but prices in UK at moment are very high we might have to wait for a late deal next year. We love this cruise already done it 4 times with Princess.
sunsetbeachgal Posted May 12, 2017 #28 Share Posted May 12, 2017 Us too, and family members who are going along need two cabins. I have a cabin under deposit, and waiting for promotions, can't see many people paying the current rates for this cruise! Waiting and hoping! majortom10 Posted May 13, 2017 #30 Share Posted May 13, 2017 How was the cruise? Were the Seas rough? Have heard they have been pretty good. Guernsey is notorious for being missed by many cruises not because just weather as such but because it is a tender port it is well known for sea swell only yesterday P&Os Oriana was delayed in leaving because of the swell and the delaying of tenders getting passengers back onboard. Last year we missed Kirkwall (Orkney Islands) due to the weather that affected nearly all of Scotland after the hurricane that swept up east of US and across the Atlantic but weather can affect any port of call. For the rest of the cruise you do not really go far from the coast line so seas not usually rough but having said that the North Sea is unpredictable. sandij Posted May 13, 2017 #31 Share Posted May 13, 2017 We are looking at the June sailing on the Royal, the itinerary is amazing but the prices are steep. But it seems to be selling out only balcony cabins on 14 and 15 seem to be left so may have to bite the bullet and book, this is for our 50th. sandyoftheseas Posted May 13, 2017 #32 Share Posted May 13, 2017 We are doing the May 12th 2018 sailing on the Royal and the inside cabins are filling up fast. We booked a IA cabin and there is only one cabin left per Princess website. It looks like this itinerary books up fast.
MotownVoice Posted January 10, 2018 #33 Share Posted January 10, 2018 We got a midship deluxe balcony on the Dolphin deck for the July 12 itinerary. I thought about upgrade to a mini suite but I’m starting to think a few extra feet and a privacy curtain isn’t going to be worth the screwing around with it,
