FJTinSC Posted November 1, 2005 #3 Share Posted November 1, 2005 If you check the board called, Hotels, pre and post. Look for posts by TRENT S, he is the resident FL hotel expert. You'll find a wealth of information!
Guest cruzr44 Posted November 1, 2005 #4 Share Posted November 1, 2005 Any suggestions? I would bid on Priceline. You can get a 3* downtown for cheap ($50) (depending on the time of year). If you have never bid on priceline go to www.biddingfortravel.com and you can read all about how much to bid in what area from people who have bid and won. Good luck. We stayed at Holiday Inn for $100 a night, but we booked directly with them. It overlooks the port and is across from Bayside Marketplace. Good luck! quiltsnh Posted November 1, 2005 #5 Share Posted November 1, 2005 We stayed here in APril had 6 rooms booked thru hotel directly (not 800 number) for 89.00 per room.
Alexis Posted November 1, 2005 #6 Share Posted November 1, 2005 I prefer this one also. Nice clean hotel and closest to the port. It is directly across the street from the Bayside Marketplace that has all kinds of shops and restaurants. I have stayed there and will stay there again before my next cruise. If you join their priority club you get discounted rooms. They do fill up fast. I have already booked mine for Sept. 2006. If you book on the internet at their site, you can book earlier than calling their hotel direct. shrimp0 Posted November 1, 2005 #7 Share Posted November 1, 2005 if you can handle a "little grunge"... we have stayed at The Days Inn... both the one by the airport and the one by the port. They are both under 80 dollars for the night. Plus.. free shuttle service from the airport and then free shuttle service to the port.
Pierre2 Posted November 1, 2005 #8 Share Posted November 1, 2005 was $99.00 for November 26, 2005. TrentS said that was a good price and it was a good hotel. He did mention to make sure it was Bayside and not the one near the airport.
