NemoCrownie Posted September 26, 2016 #4 Share Posted September 26, 2016 I can think of a few, based on our last cruise but these are the ones that stand out right now: Cranking the volume up in all venues to the point you can't think, let alone have a conversation Allowing Park West to put their ginormous pictures in front of most of the public space windows - blocking the views to the outside Specialty restaurant upsells during dinner in the MDR. Not monitoring the pool deck in the early morning hours for chair hogs (double negative)

awestover89 Posted September 26, 2016 #7 Share Posted September 26, 2016 This will definitely be divisive, but I'm going to say smoking anywhere on the ship. Such early closing time on Windjammer (I'd love 24 hours, but even just staying open til 12-2AM would be wonderful)

kearney Posted September 26, 2016 #9 Share Posted September 26, 2016 I know you want to stir debate. I am not sure what to do about smoking, but on my last cruise there was someone smoking on a balcony someplace near our cabin. Now I appreciated the need to smoke, but frankly it was really annoying for non smokers. I think that since we are no longer exposed to smoke, even small amounts are now noticeable in a way that was not the case 20 years ago. I have no solution for this but suspect that it will be difficult to reverse.

johnjen Posted September 26, 2016 #12 Share Posted September 26, 2016 1. Cease and desist away from the constant badgering about raffles in the sales area. We avoided cutting through there on Anthem last cruise, YES IT WAS THAT BAD! We're on vacation! Not a shopping trip! Leave us alone! We don't want to buy cheap watches and STOP your jewelry store clerks from trying to badger us into buying expensive necklaces and then tell us you designed them. negc Posted September 26, 2016 #13 Share Posted September 26, 2016 Not throw Diamond plus out of the Suites lounge. What would you have them do when the number of Diamond plus members far outnumbers the capacity of the Suites lounge?
pkexton Posted September 26, 2016 #14 Share Posted September 26, 2016 What would you have them do when the number of Diamond plus members far outnumbers the capacity of the Suites lounge? It's now called a Suite Lounge for a reason:D
jules815 Posted September 26, 2016 #15 Share Posted September 26, 2016 I wish they didn't allow smoking in the casino. The "sales" in the promenade or other shopping areas. When I see those tables get dragged out, I make a point to avoid the area.

bluecruisin Posted September 26, 2016 #20 Share Posted September 26, 2016 Stop being so restrictive on inside smoking, allow one inside bar to be smoking. Stop allowing smoking in the casino, as it flows right into the non smoking section. Go ahead and scratch your heads but I smoke and see both sides. I love the cigar lounge/bar on Freedom class where you can have a drink and cigarette inside where you can sit and relax and not have to go down and stand in the casino or go outside. I agree, I'm not a smoker but hey, people who do smoke should have someplace besides what looks like a bus stop! I've been playing in a band for years; grown to tolerate it (although at times felt I should buy a gas mask in SOME venues).

Hidden Minnie Posted September 26, 2016 #25 Share Posted September 26, 2016 I agree with everyone who mentioned the sales in the promenade - on the Allure one day it was like Black Friday at Walmart, with people shoving and grabbing for t-shirts.... I wish they would NOT build ships that were so inward-facing - I would love a nice around-the-outside promenade on a newer ship.
