paradise825 Posted September 28, 2016 #1 Share Posted September 28, 2016 We normally cruise out of canaveral. Can anyone suggest where to park in Fort Lauderdale?
#love2cruise Posted September 28, 2016 #2 Share Posted September 28, 2016 PARK N GO at 1101 Eller Dr. Fort Lauderdale. We make reservation online and price is $7.99 per day. You get one free day for every 10 days used. They load your luggage into their van and drive you to the ship. After the cruise, you call the phone number they gave you and they pick you up, usually within 15 minutes of the call. Great service and great people. tunaman2011 Posted September 28, 2016 #3 Share Posted September 28, 2016 Greetings Two votes for Park n Go. Have used them many times. Wish they had a facility near the Port of Miami. Good Sailing Tom
neptuno Posted September 28, 2016 #4 Share Posted September 28, 2016 Three votes for ParkNGo. We just got burned by us1airport parking, invalid email and no working phone number. Beware.
OCruisers Posted September 29, 2016 #5 Share Posted September 29, 2016 We always park at the Cruise Terminal Parking because it's so easy and convenient for us. :)
AlanFromFL Posted September 29, 2016 #6 Share Posted September 29, 2016 PnG has been our first choice at Ft Lauderdale for both port and airport parking.
neptuno Posted September 29, 2016 #7 Share Posted September 29, 2016 The terminal parking garage @ $15 is starting to look better now that Park N Go is up to $12. I miss the old days when you could park nearby for $5.

dsarah Posted September 29, 2016 #9 Share Posted September 29, 2016 We've used them in the past, always satisfied. Just looked them up --- Advance online payment rate is $7.99 a day. If you pay at the lot, then it is $12 a day.
lvz2cruz Posted October 2, 2016 #10 Share Posted October 2, 2016 We prefer the ease of the port garage. You save a few dollars at the offsite lots but once you pay tips each way you haven't saved enough to make it worthwhile.

We do not want our car parked out in the hot Florida sun. We always Park in the Port Lauderdale Garage. I do not remember what it cost, I know it is more than you quoted. But we just pull up to whichever ship we are sailing on, the stevedores take all of our luggage, we then take our car and park, INSIDE, the nice Port Lauderdale Parking Garage, and walk leisurely the short way back to our ship, check in and board! When we disembark we have Always been able to get a Stevedore that would walk to the Parking Garage and load our luggage into our car for us! NOW we ALWAYS give him a generous tip. BUT it is SO worth it to us as my husband is handicapped and he can walk that far but cannot carry ANY luggage ANY distance. Therefore all we have to do is load out luggage at home and unload it at home! It is well worth a few extra dollars for that kind of service! You save a few dollars at the offsite lots but once you pay tips each way you haven't saved enough to make it worthwhile. I'm just saying, we find Park N Go to be the very easiest way to roll...you pull in, they load your luggage, drop you at the ship, are there when you disembark, load your luggage and drop you at your car...then give you a bottle of cold spring water as you leave the gate. As far as the savings in $$, every penny counts when one is living on social security and save pennies in order to cruise and saving $$ on parking is very important to us. To each his own, but we find this an enjoyable part of our journey. As I said before...it is totally painless. :) Edited October 2, 2016 by #love2cruise
Meyer2 Posted October 2, 2016 #13 Share Posted October 2, 2016 For those that suggest parking at the Port parking area, is it easy to use? You're able to park yourself right? Is it just a walk to the terminal? Thanks in advance!
borg1of2 Posted October 3, 2016 #14 Share Posted October 3, 2016 Are there any local hotels that you can leave your car at? Thinking of driving down night before and to leave the car at the hotel.

Park yourself in either one of the garages or surface lots - take a look at the port map on the website to determine which is closest (https://res-1.cloudinary.com/simpleview/image/upload/v1/clients/porteverglades/Port_Facilties_Map_UPDATED_August_5_2016_967fef41-99cb-400e-a99b-a0bbb8b935be.pdf). The only terminal that doesn't have close parking is #29 which seems to be used only when another terminal isn't available. If you need to check which terminal your ship sails from, the ship schedule is posted 7 days in advance and linked to the port's website or you can check directly at https://pevvesseltraffic.broward.org/webx/.
