beshears Posted September 30, 2016 #1 Share Posted September 30, 2016 I am planning on booking the Glory for 8 of us TODAY, and most of them have not cruised before, for March, 2017. Within this past year, if you have had an inner room on deck "6" or "7, and remember the room number, would you tell me if this was a good room ( location, no noise, etc.) for you, or otherwise? I need help FAST!

I need help FAST! I like the 1A inside cabins #6393 on deck 6 and 7345 on deck 7 (and even #8357, 8th deck). Less expensive, has 2 twin beds that can be pushed together and slightly aft so it's no big deal to walk up to Lido or down to the casino. When I book any of these, I'm usually assigned an aft dining room, late seating by my chosing.
firemanbobswife Posted September 30, 2016 #3 Share Posted September 30, 2016 Pretty much any inside on deck 7 will be good as there are cabins both above and below you. The very forward ones you may hear noise from the "secret deck" door slamming so I would stay away from there.

AryMay Posted September 30, 2016 #5 Share Posted September 30, 2016 We were assigned #7412 after booking a guarantee last year on a B2B on the Glory. This is a "sideways" cabin so the layout is different than other inside cabins. I was apprehensive at first since the cabin was right behind the elevator, but we ended up loving the cabin and the location. No noise and it was so convenient to run up the stairs to the Lido deck. And because the layout was different, the room felt much more spacious than other inside cabins.

AryMay Posted September 30, 2016 #7 Share Posted September 30, 2016 Isn't that a Room Steward's closet right next to it? I think it was, but we didn't hear any noise from there. I honestly wouldn't have ever PICKED this cabin, but after being in it, I would stay there intentionally in the future. The inside cabins always feel so cramped to me with the desk right at the end of the bed, but having the desk along the long wall made the room feel so much more open. I have photos on my blog in case you are interested in seeing what it looked like. Here is the link... Carnival Glory Cruise

Carnival Glory Cruise I stayed in 1426 which is a 1A "sideways" cabin which I absolutely loved except for the fact that the RS closet was right there. I'm not normally an early riser, but I was forced to be that cruise. Nothing like having the cart ram against the side of the wall when they set up and hearing the RS say "good morning" to everyone as they walked by. If you're typically up early, then I can see where it wouldn't be an issue.
springs741 Posted September 30, 2016 #9 Share Posted September 30, 2016 I stayed in 7412 on the Freedom. I didn't hear anything from the elevator but the RS closet noise woke us up a few mornings. It was the only time I choose an interior (guarantee once). I did like the lay out but know that interiors aren't for me.

Carnival Glory Cruise I just looked at the picture of your cabin, what kind of hooks do you have on the wall to hang hats and clothes? Looks like a great idea Edited October 1, 2016 by kapcruiser
AryMay Posted October 1, 2016 #11 Share Posted October 1, 2016 I just looked at the picture of your cabin, what kind of hooks do you have on the wall to hang hats and clothes? Looks like a great idea There were already two hooks on the wall, but if you look closely you will see the others are magnetic clips...ones I took off of my fridge! The magnets stick to the cabin walls and are great for holding up hats and such. I've also used them to organize the paper clutter that can easily get out of hand on a cruise. _beachgirl_ Posted October 1, 2016 #12 Share Posted October 1, 2016 (edited) Cabin 6245 - No It's over top of the theatre and pretty loud when shows are going on. I wouldn't choose any of the rooms in that area. Edited October 1, 2016 by _beachgirl_
mzlinda Posted October 1, 2016 #13 Share Posted October 1, 2016 I was in cabin 7439 in June. It's not an inside, but it is aft. The noise and vibration was pretty bad. I wouldn't recommend being that far back. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
