clcjdn Posted October 10, 2016 #1 Share Posted October 10, 2016 Quick question for those in the know.....I have done Carnival in the past/get Premier offers like clock work....have switched to NCL except when Carnival is almost free....anyway, I just got a comp for an ocean view suite with Carnival from my land based casino (part of the Isle of Capri family). Does anyone know if we get a Drink on Us card with a certificate like that? This one doesn't have many black out dates (holidays/specialty only) and is good for an Ocean View Suite. I am assuming worst case, I can call or email after I get my booking number and see if I qualify based on my last sailing (seemed like 7,000 points was the magic number before), but hoping someone has some experience with this type of comp. Thanks! Joe
TNShadyLady Posted October 10, 2016 #2 Share Posted October 10, 2016 We've had those land-based comps and no, they do not include a drinks card because they really have nothing to do with Carnival other than the cruise certificate is valid on Carnival. Your best bet is persuading them to give you a free drinks card based on prior play. And based on that, you might even be able to swing an upgrade or two. rascaldog Posted October 11, 2016 #3 Share Posted October 11, 2016 I was just on a Carnival cruise that I got from Isle of Capri Lake Charles and they did give us all, the drinks on us card. It was a 5 night cruise last month. I also talked to the host on the second night and was comped dinner for 2 in the steak house and they through in a bottle of wine up to $50. clcjdn Posted October 11, 2016 Author #4 Share Posted October 11, 2016 Thanks for the quick responses.....they are comping us a suite with minimal restrictions, so I hope that comes with a drink card. Worst case, I will just reach out after I book and see what they say. Thanks again!
