Morris4me Posted October 12, 2016 #1 Share Posted October 12, 2016 Just upgraded from 2 balcony cabins to The Haven 2 Bedroom Suite. Traveling with my elderly father and felt its was a better way for us to care for him and keep an eye on him. I was wondering if reservations were necessary in The Haven restaurant. Also, is there any musical entertainment in The Haven Lounge in the evenings. I noticed that there are lounge chairs on an upper level above The Haven pool area that are still under the retractable roof. Is there an elevator available to get to this level (think it's deck 17?) or only stairs?
Rare BirdTravels Posted October 12, 2016 #2 Share Posted October 12, 2016 No reservations needed for the Havens restaurant. All arrears are accissible by elevator. On embarkation day, you will be escorted from the terminal to the Havens lounge. Make sure to as the concierge staff to point out all of the elevators. The roof may be open if the weather is nice and not too windy. We actually like to be up on the upper deck, enjoying the air conditioned sunshine when the roof is closed. Just a few steps to the outside sundeck.
Gregor4500 Posted October 12, 2016 #3 Share Posted October 12, 2016 I suppose there is an elevator to deck 17 somewhere, but I didn't see one within the Haven area.
caribsun Posted October 12, 2016 #4 Share Posted October 12, 2016 Isn't that 2nd bedroom the size of a closet with a pull out sofa bed with no window ? I would like the adjoining balcony.

ryarger Posted October 12, 2016 #6 Share Posted October 12, 2016 I don't think there is an elevator to the second deck of the Haven - which includes the indoor area under the retractable roof, an outdoor private sun deck and also the Vibe private area. There is at least one stairlift which requires a crew member to operate. That's outside the Haven on the stairs the lead to the Vibe. There may be one available on the Haven stairs as well, I don't know. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

And you can eat in the pool area if you like, as well. No entertainment. But there is a bar in the lounge area between the restaurant and the pool area. No elevator to deck 17 that I know of. Only one set of stairs. And you really need to get up there to get a chair because there are no lounge chairs on the pool level, except for the 6 in the "cool pool." They have 2 cabana style benches and tables for people to eat. It's possible there's an elevator that I'm not aware of because there's a handicap accessible bathroom up on that level. If there is an elevator, I never saw it. Maybe someone else knows otherwise. Or you can contact NCL and inquire.
teakea Posted October 14, 2016 #8 Share Posted October 14, 2016 There is a service elevator. If stairs are a problem, stop at the concierge desk and they will have you escorted to the upper sun deck. FYI, we shared a 2 bedroom with my mother, 98 years old, and it was great. Although reservations for the Haven restaurant are not necessary, they can be made. Have a great trip. gma_pat Posted October 14, 2016 #11 Share Posted October 14, 2016 are the tables still there to order some food When we were there in April, there were tables (where they served breakfast and lunch) and loungers on the pool level. I do not remember there being an elevator to go to the sundeck level.

Do you remember which night was the cocktail party for the Have? Do you remember which night the Latitudes party was?

Do you remember which night was the cocktail party for the Have? Do you remember which night the Latitudes party was? I'm not sure about the door, but I don't think it is automatic. The Hallways are a little narrow but I did see a Lady in a Wheel Chair being taking to her suite, and it fit. I believe the Captains Party was on Monday evening at 6:30or 6:45 The Latitude Party was on Tuesday but I'm not sure about the time.
