Are you disembarking in Cape Liberty? Assume you are off by 9:30 and you take the trip from NJ with an 11 ferry, I guess it's doable. Which airport? If Newark, can you drop luggage at the airport before heading to the Statue? You need to work out the logistics, i.e. transportation, in advance. Good luck. Remember international flights you need more time for checkin and security.

What ship are you sailing in on? What exact date? You don't have much time and the need for luggage storage adds a logistical issue. Another ootion would be to take the free Staten Island ferry to Staten Island and back to get a good look at the Statue from the water.

If you're in downtown Manhattan you can take PATH to Newark and the train to EWR leaving no later than 3 pm for a 6 pm flight.
