dkc1973 Posted October 22, 2016 #1 Share Posted October 22, 2016 Im thinking my mom might need one of these out in port since at times she can't stand for long periods. Can anyone tell me if they are allowed by Carnival? Thanks in advance. Sent from my iPhone using Forums

GradUT Posted October 22, 2016 #3 Share Posted October 22, 2016 We have a couple of those for camping, so I know exactly what you are talking about. While I've never taken them on a cruise, there's no reason why you can't. They are not prohibited by Carnival.
dkc1973 Posted October 22, 2016 Author #4 Share Posted October 22, 2016 I haven't been able to find where they are prohibited either but I was afraid I was just missing it. Thanks!!! Sent from my iPhone using Forums
kat001971 Posted October 22, 2016 #5 Share Posted October 22, 2016 I've seen people with folding chairs on Carnival. They take them to the beach. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
cb at sea Posted October 22, 2016 #6 Share Posted October 22, 2016 (edited) Sure! There are also canes that have a seat...when folded, they look and work like a cane, but when unfolded, there is a seat with legs...can be handy if frequent sitting is needed. Lightweight. Most drugstore have them. The "bag chairs" are sort of heavy for lugging around, unless you're going to set up camp in one particular spot! Google "Folding cane seat"...Staples carries them, too...as do sporting stores! Edited October 22, 2016 by cb at sea
DebJ14 Posted October 22, 2016 #7 Share Posted October 22, 2016 I think the cane with the folding seat is the better bet. Easier to use and lightweight. Those chairs with the aluminum legs often end up collapsing well below their weight limits. They are more cumbersome than the cane with the folding seat. Another option is the rollater - like a walker with a seat on it. These are very useful for elderly people. My Mom got away with one of those for quite a while before she had to give in and use the wheelchair full time.
maldenmusic Posted October 23, 2016 #8 Share Posted October 23, 2016 Those shouldn't be a problem to take at all.
pretzellover Posted October 23, 2016 #9 Share Posted October 23, 2016 My son is a little person and needs a step stool at the sink. Carnival has not allowed this due to safety. However, special needs has been helpful with other things. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Boozebabe Posted October 23, 2016 #10 Share Posted October 23, 2016 I plan on taking something similar on my next cruise to use for a shower. We usually get a suite and the shower chairs they provide do NOT fit in the tubs in a suite. My stool will fit in my luggage.
