silversurf Posted October 24, 2016 #1 Share Posted October 24, 2016 Is it possible to find out the menus for a particular day before you book? Also heard that there may be discounts on first night. I know we can book online but could we find out menus?
bazzyb Posted October 24, 2016 #2 Share Posted October 24, 2016 You can see example menus for the Epicurean online here: https://ask.pocruises.com/help/PO/life-on-board/example_menu but you won't find out menus for specific days until you board. Cruise Puss Posted October 25, 2016 #4 Share Posted October 25, 2016 Discounts - no they are not 'discounted'. They MAY offer a glass of fizz on the first two nights on board - that is all. However, Epicurean is well worth the extra money. It is like an extremely high class restaurant. If it was on land it is likely you would be charged around £80 each - so £30 is extremely good value. majortom10 Posted October 25, 2016 #5 Share Posted October 25, 2016 Just returned from Britannia and on the first night only both Epicurean and Sindhu prices were reduced by a third for the first night only. Was told they have done this instead of giving a free bottle of wine because it deters those that dont drink from booking. We had an excellent meal for £18-50pp.

Epicurean on Britannia is sensational. I hope that the one on Ventura is as good. We will find out in February. Even at full price, Epicurean is well worth every penny, especially as the main dining rooms (included meals) are nowhere near as good as they used to be when we first cruised with P&O. We were on Ventura this year & Epicurean was DEFINATELY discounted!! Only on a couple of nights, obviously quieter nights. A couple of days before staff were walking round the bars offering the discount & they had copies of the menu for you to read. We had a lovely meal, delicious food & brilliant staff.
