Hi,

We have never sailed on a Conquest Class ship before. We have sailed on the Elation. We are planning to cruise on the Conquest next April.

What is it like? Differences etc. What are "don't miss" areas and activities? Any suggestions?

I would say the area I would list as a DO NOT MISS is the exterior deck on deck 3 (I think). This deck is covered and has padded lounge chairs. Not many passengers know about this deck until later in the cruise. It is usually pretty deserted to watch Jamaica appear in the distance for the 1st port. It is also a great place for a nap as it is shady, padded, and breezy.

I know others may tell you that the fish and chips station is a great hideaway, but I haven't ever enjoyed the food there. I tried it on both trips and was unimpressed both times.

The Conquest is a great ship and I would sail on her again in a heartbeat!!

On Lido deck walk allll the way forward and there will be a little hall where there are a couple of the very most foreward cabins. It looks like someplace you shouldn't be, but walk through and go to the door at the end of that hall. Go outside (best if you're still in port though) and you'll find you are on top of the bridge. There's a part that kind of sticks out farther on either side and you can get a good look down the side of the ship as well as in front of the ship. I totally loved the Lobby deck outside like another poster already said. Also, Gaugin's, the bar by the casino is a nice place to sit. Frequently there was nobody there but the bartender and there are big windows you can sit by while you have a drink.

And had the best time of my life when we sailed her back in February. I love the itinerary and the stingray swim was absolutely the most amazing experience I have ever had.

The crew was fabulous!! We enjoyed the blue point oysters at Sur Mer and stopped at the sushi bar every night before dinner. If you can, have dinner at the POINTE..it was wonderful. In my link below to "Conquest food and fun, I have around 500 pictures of our trip....many are of food!

You will love the ship and we have plans to sail her again

For Conquest class ships, remember that you either have to go to the top (9), middle (5) or bottom (3) to travel from one end of the ship to another.

Even if you don't like Fish and Chips, you might like eating up in that area. It is not overly crowded because you have to walk up steps from the main buffet. There should be a drink dispenser up there, as well.

Are the fish and chips something you have to pay for, or is it included?

everything in Ser Mar is treated as being part of the Buffet. No additional cost. Same holds true for the Sushi Bar in the evenings. Martini Bar and the Wine tasting are an additional charge but they are good.
