umpisoccer Posted November 14, 2016 #1 Share Posted November 14, 2016 Does NCL still give you a travel mug if you have the soda package? Do they also give you one if you have the Beverage package? Does the Norwegian Dawn have a soda machine to get your soda from yet or do you still have to go to the bar to get a soda?
SquishTheWhale Posted November 14, 2016 #2 Share Posted November 14, 2016 (edited) Can't say for very recently, but in Jan I was given a plastic flask thing when purchasing the soda package, with NCL and Pepsi branding on it. They had them all out on the table where you bought the package, I don't know how it works if you have it as a free package- I'm guessing you can just go ask for one. As far as I know they are only for the soda package, not the UBP (designed for kids really I suppose). The damn thing leaked everywhere anyway, my bag smelt like strawberry kiwi water for weeks  Edited November 14, 2016 by SquishTheWhale
Irishgrl73 Posted November 14, 2016 #3 Share Posted November 14, 2016 They give travel mug with Soda package but, not with UBP. They do not have Soda machine you have to go to one of the bars to get it filled.
Dcoy Posted December 26, 2016 #4 Share Posted December 26, 2016 When you have the soda package, how hard is it to get a soda in one of the restaurants? Can your waiter get you your soda or do you need to find someone that gets hard liquor drinks from the bar? The same question is also when at the buffet. Thanks Don
Rare BirdTravels Posted December 26, 2016 #5 Share Posted December 26, 2016 You get a cheap sipper cup with the sofa package. Wouldn't call it a travel mug. You do NOT get it with the beverage package. Since you have to pay for soda, there is no self serve soda machines. This is true fleet wide. The waiters get you sodas in all dining rooms. There is a soda dispenser in the galley (i.e., the waiters don't have to go to the bar to get the soda for you). Easy. Fast. If you drink a lot of soda, they can bring you a couple of glasses at a time.

I recently drank two flat Mountain Dews from it. ;)

I always purchase the soda package on other cruise lines and always save money by doing so. Don
tombec1 Posted December 27, 2016 #8 Share Posted December 27, 2016 We sailed on the Epic on 12/10. My wife & I had UBP, and I bought my son the soda package. He didn't get a cup. It may be because I paid for it before the cruise via the NCL site. His key just said "SODA" on it.
LakeWobegon Posted December 27, 2016 #9 Share Posted December 27, 2016 If you buy in advance, I think you have to ask for it at guest services or wherever or where you go to make reservations when first boarding. We bought our kids packages on board and got them when purchasing. I didn't see anyone using them all week. Would have been a hassle and gross. Lol. We use ours for coffee when our good travel mugs are dirty back home. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
