New2cruise1483 Posted November 22, 2016 #1 Share Posted November 22, 2016 So I was looking at the website this morning to price out a cruise in a suite cabin on Harmony for the week of April 28, 2018 and it's already showing them as sold out. On other weeks it doesn't matter be show pricing for the star class cabins at all. Could they really be sold out already or could it just be a website glitch? Clarea Posted November 22, 2016 #2 Share Posted November 22, 2016 Hard to say if it's a website glitch, but it's not unusual for suites to sell out long in advance of the sailing date.
Biker19 Posted November 22, 2016 #3 Share Posted November 22, 2016 (edited) Might be a bunch of inconsiderate cruisers hogging the cabins. Edited November 22, 2016 by Biker19

That being said all of the Suites are currently unavailable. Perhaps RCCL simply hasn't released them for sale yet. That 17% refers to the % of categories that are sold out or unavailable and not the overall % of total cabins sold.
HMK8273 Posted November 22, 2016 #6 Share Posted November 22, 2016 We found the same problem when we tried to book for that time on our recent Anthem cruise earlier this month - some suites were gone no matter what ship we looked at. Cruisers who are currently on board are booking up cabins for the low deposit and on board credit deals being offered. Some people are booking up cabins to get the on board credit for their current sailing and cancelling closer to final payment just for the on board credit. So the rest of us who want a cabin can't get it now - have to wait for things to become available when those people cancel things. Happened on our Anthem trip - all suites were practically sold out - final payment came along and everything became available. If you could book around final payment, you got some good deals for suite cabins - never seen anything like it before.

They still have to put down deposits equal to the OBC They take, and those deposits are lost if they cancel. There is no financial benefit to what you have suggested.
