metairiegal Posted December 1, 2016 #1 Share Posted December 1, 2016 We've done Magens Bay several times. Looking for something different. Which beach should we do next? (And, which is the easiest and most convenient to get to?)
blue_water Posted December 1, 2016 #2 Share Posted December 1, 2016 We've done Magens Bay several times. Looking for something different. 1) Which beach should we do next? 2) (And, which is the easiest and most convenient to get to?) Two separate questions so... 1) There are several beautiful beaches to choose from, most on the East End and a 20 min, $10pp taxi each way. Our favorite is Sapphire, you'll want to do a little research on your own to know why. http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1993432 2) Morningstar is closest and a $5 - 6 taxi. Thank you, your link is great. We were thinking of Sapphire, but no public restrooms? I would have to pass on it for that reason. Maybe we'll just stick with Magens or do the Kon Tiki. 2PinaColadas Posted December 20, 2016 #10 Share Posted December 20, 2016 Sapphire is also our favorite beach on St. Thomas. Lindqvist is very pretty, but there are no beach chair rentals or food. You have to sit on towels and BYOB & food . Secret Harbor and Coki are also good choices. If you want to stay closer to the port, you could try Emerald, Morningstar, or Bolongo Bay. OCruisers Posted December 20, 2016 #11 Share Posted December 20, 2016 Have you at least considered going to a beach on St. John. OK ... not as easy and convenient BUT so worth it! :)
