I have not heard anything about the official Keel Laying yet. A lot of blocks through have already been put together and some waiting on the side as illustrated from the pictures Lloyd has shared.

Are those the Magic Carpet notches on the top right and mid right of the Atrium block?

 

EDIT: I may have answered my own question. That appears to be the same orange articulated boom in each photo. :-)

Yes, thanks for the updates Lloyd. I can't wait to see my cabin. We're on the "Edge" of the port side bump (#7227 - pun intended). All the attention seems to be on the Magic Carpet, but I'm more interested in the view from the 7th deck bump. We stay in a similar cabin on the Solstice class and can clearly see the ocean without the lifeboats in the way. I'm hopeful the Edge will have a similar view.
