Lazy Sailor Posted December 29, 2016 #1 Share Posted December 29, 2016 My wife has sTarted packing for QE from Southampton to San Francisco, and would like to ask if it ever gets cool in dining rooms, theatre, inside public areas etc etc. Does she need long sleeve items such as cardigans, sweaters (jumpers?) jackets, etc? Any help would be appreciated!
Underwatr Posted December 29, 2016 #2 Share Posted December 29, 2016 In a word, yes, a light sweater or wrap is a good idea. We're currently on the QM2 Carribean voyage and as the weather outside has gotten warmer the interior spaces, particularly the dining room, have felt cooler. It's easier for men since we wear some kind of jacket at dinner every night but women benefit from a light cover of some kind. It has been easy to adjust the stateroom temperature to our preference (we like it cool at night and warmer during the day) regardless of the outside temperature. cruiseluvva Posted December 29, 2016 #3 Share Posted December 29, 2016 Personally, I find the temperature on board in the evenings to be positively glacial. A warm (real) pashmina is the bare minimum for me.
ToadOfToadHall Posted December 29, 2016 #4 Share Posted December 29, 2016 I've often found the QV to be heated like a sauna. And the MDR is often roasting as well in the evenings.
