Sent from my iPad using Forums On NCL it depends. If the obc is refundable, which most Travel Agent obc is, then yes. But if it is non-refundable, obc from cruise line for example, then No.
leaveitallbehind Posted December 31, 2016 #7 Share Posted December 31, 2016 (edited) On NCL it depends. If the obc is refundable, which most Travel Agent obc is, then yes. But if it is non-refundable, obc from cruise line for example, then No. That seems like an odd policy as with RCI and Celebrity they apply their OBC (non-refundable) first to all on board charges and then apply any third party (refundable) OBC once that is depleted. Any remaining amount from that is refunded on board as cash at the end of the cruise or applied as a credit to your credit card used on board. NMLady Posted January 1, 2017 #8 Share Posted January 1, 2017 That seems like an odd policy as with RCI and Celebrity they apply their OBC (non-refundable) first to all on board charges and then apply any third party (refundable) OBC once that is depleted. Any remaining amount from that is refunded on board as cash at the end of the cruise or applied as a credit to your credit card used on board. That is what NCL does as well except that they do not apply non-refundable obc to the Daily Service Charge ("gratuities"). That comes only from refundable obc. Bankshot Posted January 1, 2017 #9 Share Posted January 1, 2017 If you have leftover non-refundable ship's credit you can usually go to the casino, pay a 5% charge and get chips or slot credit slips for any remaining balance.
