Ideas for new activities on cruise ships

I so agree with the OP ....

 

Rather than rehash and bag the cruise companies about what is already on offer

 

ie cos the company wants to make coin out of it .....

 

let's offer up some original ideas ....

 

For example ...I happened to offer to show a few folks how best to use their binoculars on our last cruise

 

Most people thought they already knew how to do so until I demonstrated my method ....... and then their 'eyes were opened'

 

It did not involve any physical participation apart from using binocs ..... perhaps there are other people who have some similar skills/trixs to pass on to fellow cruisers ....:)

I am curious what ship it was on.

 

This was on Diamond Princess at the start of December 2016. Unfortunately monsoon weather in SE Asia meant it was overcast most of the time.

Basically fewer things focussed on selling stuff [art, detox, whatever], more on live entertainment or something informative or instructional is what I want.

 

Especially during the day! And some extra anything on a port day would be good.
