Superdottie Posted January 6, 2017 #1 Share Posted January 6, 2017 Is check in always this slow? We're in line past security and they've stopped letting people into the check in lines. Appears to be a backlog of people waiting to get on the ship. The check in lines are empty. Sent from my iPhone using Forums

Rare azbirdmom Posted January 6, 2017 #6 Share Posted January 6, 2017 (edited) Could be heightened security measures due to the incident at FLL earlier today. I would not be surprised if embarkation was affected by the shooting at FLL. Prayers for those involved in this horrible incident. Rare JimmyVWine Posted January 6, 2017 #13 Share Posted January 6, 2017 is the ship waiting for passengers????? What's happening on ship's end? The Port Everglades webcam has live audio. Just heard a conversation between two port personnel where it was reported that "cruise ships will be delayed. They are waiting for passengers." Two ships (including CB) have/had a 4:00 sailaway time and those have obviously been pushed back.

This is just so sad beyond any words can express. I am glad the ship is waiting...as they should. Thanks for all your knowledge.

diverward Posted January 7, 2017 #19 Share Posted January 7, 2017 (edited) You forgot the time difference. Whilst it might read to you as 9:30 AM on the West Coast, it is already 12:30 PM in the East Coast. So it is not early at all. In line at 9:30 in the morning is way before theyy may start checking people in. Not sure why the OP was complaining this early in the morning.
