NancyW12 Posted January 7, 2017 #1 Share Posted January 7, 2017 I am traveling solo and will be arriving at FLL about 8pm. I am looking for a hotel that I can cab/hotel shuttle from the airport to and then walk to find dinner (safely) and then in the morning, walk to a grocery/drugstore to pick up some toiletries before shuttling to the POM. Many of the hotels seem to be clustered together in areas that appear unsafe for walking and Google Maps is failing me. Any suggestions for specific hotels or a street name/area to look at? Thanks! CruiserBruce Posted January 7, 2017 #2 Share Posted January 7, 2017 Embassy Suites meets your description perfectly, and is discussed here almost daily.
JohninDC Posted January 7, 2017 #3 Share Posted January 7, 2017 Hyatt, Renaissance and a couple of others are in the same area - shop around! http://www.sunny,org has lots of FLL area hotel info ;)
Flonightey Posted January 8, 2017 #4 Share Posted January 8, 2017 Hyatt place on 10th also. ( make sure you don't book the dania beach location- much farther away) price can sometimes be better than embassy Sent from my iPhone using Forums
bunzini Posted January 8, 2017 #5 Share Posted January 8, 2017 Embassy Suites has several 'walk to' restaurants and a Publix across the parking lot. I am entertaining the idea of staying there again because of the convenience. I was upset the last time we stayed because the room was not ready until after 4:30pm and that did not sit right with me. But I don't know of a location more convenient. I did see another hotel close and forget what it was-Comfort Suites maybe? Perhaps someone else will know.
