chacchoben and beach day with private driver?

hoping for a little help... thinking about a cruise this fall on the fantasy stopping in costa maya. will be my wife and I, and our 7 children (ages 16 all the way down to 2). Wife's parent's and possibly grandmother also traveling with us. does anyone have any recommendations for a reasonable company that could drive us all out to the ruins for like an hour or so and still give us time to enjoy at blue kay before returning to ship. wife and I never use ship excursions, but we always like to have stuff planned out in advance. any and all help appreciated. cheers!

How long will you be in Costa Maya?

What other ports are you stopping at?

Belize's Altun Has is a relatively quick trip to ruins and plenty of good private vendors there.

We used Native Choice for the Chacchoben ruins last month. It was about 45-50 minutes each way. The ruins aren't all that large so you could see it fairly quickly if the crowds aren't too bad. Afterward they offered to take anyone that wanted to into Mahahaul. We opted to just go back to the ship. I don't know if they would bring you back to the ship or if you'd have to get a taxi.

this will be the in-laws 1st cruise, so doing a short 5 day trip with just stops in costa maya and Cozumel. I believe in port 12-8 @ costa maya. i'll definitely look into Native choice right now. thanks!
