-> ANTHEM: drink package discounts and other $$$ topics

Recommended Posts

Anyone can get cash in the casino. It's like a cash advance on your credit card. But they will charge you a 5% fee for the privilege.

If you make you onboard account a cash account - when you check in online at 90 days before your cruise, don't add a credit card. Check off "cash account" - then when you go to the casino and ask for cash, they will not charge the 5%.

Up until you have $500 in charges on your SeaPass account on board, nothing happens. Then they call you and ask you to either put down cash or put down a credit card.

In the meantime, you have gotten the cash without a fee. NOW you put down your credit card.

:)

Thanks! Nice tip.

Actually, you may bring on up to two bottles (750ml) of wine per cabin in which at least one passenger is 21 or older.

It would not be cost effective for you to get a drink package. First, they cannot be shared, so you would each have to get your own package. With only 2 or 3 drinks per package, it would be less expensive to buy drinks singly.

Thanks for the quick replies.

I am currently on board the gorgeous Anthem of the Seas.

But let me get to the point. I had lunch today with the Bar Manager.

EVERY SHIP in the fleet should now be honoring the D/D+/PC discounts on the Deluxe Drink Package.

That's 20% off for Diamond (so if you can get that pre-cruise in your Cruise Planner, it should be a wash - your choice of when to buy); 30% off for D+ and 40% off for Pinnacle.

I will be happy to answer any Anthem questions whether they are financial or other.

:)

Carol, do you have the printed list for D+ discounts & promos?

Has anything changed in the last 6 months?

Is the 30% off drink packages listed on the sheet?

Did you buy the drink package at the discounted rate?

Thanks!

I hope you are thoroughly enjoying your cruise :D

Hi,

I'm sailing on Anthem next month and was unable to make My Time dining reservations for my preferred times. Looking at alternate venues and did book Solarium Bistro for 1 night. Looking at Michael's Pub and haven't seen anything written about the menu, cost, service etc. I believe it's a la carte, have you seen the menu? Any feedback on menu, pricing and service, quality of food would be appreciated.

Enjoy the remainder of your cruise!

Thanks~Paula

I can verify that PC has 40% and Diamond Plus has 30% off the Deluxe Package only.

Thank you again Carol!

So how much is the drink package right now on the ship without the discount?

My cruise planner states 20% off is $48.00 a day plus gratuities...

As far as I can tell, there are no generally available discounts onboard for buying a drink package.

There are only the C&A discounts that I mentioned before. I will try to get my hand on a Diamond sheet to verify their 20% since I have already verified D+ at 30% and PC at 40%.
