Jane2357 Posted January 18, 2017 #1 Share Posted January 18, 2017 I'm trying to find out if Celebrity Infinity on the Miami to San Diego - Panama Canal cruise will be docking in Colon on April 6th at the Colon 2000 Cruise Port or the Colon Home Port. My tour guide is giving me two different instructions on how to find him depending on the docking location. When I talk to Captain's Club they are saying that they are one and the same. I'd like a better understanding as I have 12 people traveling on this tour. Can anyone tell me a website where I might check this? The location of a port map? Or if you have recently docked in Colon what was the situation. Also does anyone know if Verizon has an international package that would cover Panama? Thank you. BillB48 Posted January 18, 2017 #2 Share Posted January 18, 2017 Colon 2000 is the facility that is normally used for ships calling at Colon and the Home Port pier is used when then there is a second ship that day. You should be docking at the Colon 2000 pier as the Infinity is the only ship I see scheduled. These two web sites agree... http://ports.cruisett.com/schedule/Panama/141-Colon/April_2017/ ... http://www.cruisetimetables.com/visitingcolonpanama-06apr2017.html Of course there always could be some change between know and then as well as none of these sites are 100% accurate. The two piers are close together within walking distance, but they are two individual facilities.

TeeRick Posted January 19, 2017 #5 Share Posted January 19, 2017 In May 2016 on our P Canal cruise the Infinity docked at the Colon 2000 port.
Lsimon Posted January 19, 2017 #6 Share Posted January 19, 2017 In any event, make sure you have his cell phone number so you can call or text him early if you end up docking at the other dock from what you tell him. Well worth a couple dollars for the international roaming call if it prevents a big mix up if things change.
