bekbek4248 Posted January 20, 2017 #1 Share Posted January 20, 2017 Hello! I have searched for the answer to this question on the Celebrity website and the forums but I am still a bit confused. Hopefully someone can help! My husband and I will be on the Celebrity Solstice in September and it's our first cruise on Celebrity (we're so excited!) and we were wondering how the casino works. We don't gamble much at all, just a few bucks here and there. With other cruises we just have a credit card on file with our SeaPass card and swipe that in the casino to gamble. Is that how it works on Celebrity? Or do you have to use cash or tokens in the machines? Just trying to understand! Sorry if that is a silly question. Thank you! cb at sea Posted January 20, 2017 #2 Share Posted January 20, 2017 You use cash, which I prefer.
Fish Lover Posted January 20, 2017 #3 Share Posted January 20, 2017 You gamble with cash. Cash directly into the slot machines, or cash exchanged for chips at the tables. However, if you remember to put your sea pass card into the slot machine, it will award you points based on how much you have gambled. Those points can then be downloaded right to any slot machine. You can then use the additional credits to gamble more or cash out. Usually the ship will do some special slot games for people who have accumulated x points by a certain night. dkjretired Posted January 20, 2017 #4 Share Posted January 20, 2017 It is like any land based casino, you put in cash or the voucher from a previous trip to a machine. You will not be paid out in cash but vouchers.
Fish Lover Posted January 20, 2017 #5 Share Posted January 20, 2017 And.... then you take the vouchers to the cage and exchange it for cash.

loeb Posted January 20, 2017 #7 Share Posted January 20, 2017 On our last two cruises, the casino had specials for the slot machines. For example, for $100 you got $125 in play (this is just an example and not the correct amounts). You accessed the amount by using your sea pass and pin. Note that what ever amount you buy, you cannot get the cash back, only the winnings. Therefore, I would only purchase what you are sure you are going to gamble. Note that if you take cash advances charged to you on-board account, there is a 5% charge.

Upon thinking about it, I think your talking about another special they run and not the usual accumulated points. If I recall it was 5 or 6 points per dollar. I remember that we made sure to download all the points before the last night otherwise they would just go away.
