FredZiffle Posted January 21, 2017 #1 Share Posted January 21, 2017 The announcement that NCL is expanding the bidding process for upsells is only two days old, and already there is conflicting information. The CC post says it will be fleet-wide by March, but a different NCL press release says it will occur by the end of the 2nd qtr., which I assume is June if NCL's fiscal year corresponds to the calendar year. So which is it?
ColinIllinois Posted January 21, 2017 #2 Share Posted January 21, 2017 I would tend to go with the information in NCL's press release over what a poster on this forum said.
FredZiffle Posted January 21, 2017 Author #3 Share Posted January 21, 2017 It was the post from a CC editor that is stuck at the top of the NCL forum. http://www.cruisecritic.com/news/news.cfm?ID=7478 That contrasts with this one: http://www.travelmarketreport.com/articles/Norwegian-Cruise-Line-Brings-Bidding-For-Upgrades-To-The-Cruise-Industry?articleid=28352
Loonbeam Posted January 21, 2017 #4 Share Posted January 21, 2017 Based on what I have heard both may be true.. If things go to plan, all ships will transition to the bidding system by end of March HOWEVER there may still be limited traditional upsells thru June based on adoption, after June 30 the legacy upsell department will be completely disbanded.
