Crazy Cruzer Posted January 26, 2017 #1 Share Posted January 26, 2017 Which cruise line(s) have the best music for us adults in the 50 and 60's age range? I like all types of rock and pop from the 70's through current day, but NOT rap or hip-hop!. I also like some Reggae/Caribbean/Island music on Caribbean cruises. Last cruises were on Celebrity where music has gone downhill. Ideal music for us would be a lounge with acoustical rock (guitar & singer); party band that plays rock and Island Reggae by the pool and lounge later at night and maybe a piano bar - but not an old standard (Sinatra) type of piano bar - something more from the last 30 years or so. I don't like Hip hop or Rap but I don't like classical or big band jazz either. I like music that rocks a little be it rock, pop or reggae. Which cruise line suits our needs more and still has good food and service?
Aquahound Posted January 26, 2017 #2 Share Posted January 26, 2017 I'd say the best lines for that sort of music are RCI and Princess. there's so much variety on board, that every bit of that can be found in one place or another. Stay away from Carnival...lots of rap music played, especially on the Lido. NCL used to be better, but now they seem to really love Pitbull. lakelorain Posted January 28, 2017 #3 Share Posted January 28, 2017 I'd go with RC. You are right about Celebrity. RC is more for the seniors who are young at heart.
