CruiserBruce Posted February 2, 2017 #2 Share Posted February 2, 2017 (edited) Don't know what state you are in, but in California they turn around new DLs in less than 2 weeks. I believe the requirements are for government issued picture ID. Edited February 2, 2017 by CruiserBruce

Grandma Dazzles Posted February 2, 2017 #4 Share Posted February 2, 2017 You need to give more information. What cruiseline? Rules vary. Some require certified birth certificate, passport, government picture ID. Depends on the itinerary and cruiseline.

leaveitallbehind Posted February 2, 2017 #9 Share Posted February 2, 2017 (edited) Yes it was issued from the DMV as a temporary Id till I get my hard copy Sent from my iPhone using Forums I would contact Carnival and speak with a supervisor to get clear direction as to whether or not this will be acceptable as a valid picture ID. If you have one, I would use a passport instead. Edited February 2, 2017 by leaveitallbehind

If you have one, I would use a passport instead. I would definitely call Carnival and talk to a manager. Our political climate is changing rather quickly and I know that at this point I wouldn't leave the country without a passport-just to make sure I get back it  Good luck and have a most wonderful cruise
Rare sparks1093 Posted February 2, 2017 #11 Share Posted February 2, 2017 Sorry it's my first cruise it's the carnival valor and yes the paper id has my picture Sent from my iPhone using Forums If it has your picture on it then it is a picture ID and should work. I can't remember if it was CCL or NCL but someone had the same question and came back and reported that it wasn't an issue. But I think you will have your real license back by the time you sail in March.
