cruisinfanatic Posted February 3, 2017 #2 Share Posted February 3, 2017 I have never heard anyone say that the water they wanted to bring on was denied
ubish00 Posted February 4, 2017 #3 Share Posted February 4, 2017 We brought water on in December. Just put the case in a bag and secure a luggage tag on it.
katiel53 Posted February 5, 2017 #4 Share Posted February 5, 2017 When boarding Allure of the Seas in January, I saw several people carrying on cases of bottled water. Most were on top of their small carryon sized suitcases and were bungee corded. No one stopped them or even questioned them.
JoshuaA Posted February 5, 2017 #5 Share Posted February 5, 2017 You can bring it (I saw people do it) for convenience to fridge and take on ports but it's sourced tap water, and RCI's tap water is drinkable too, although it might taste slightly different than store bought. It's better to bring an insulated S'well bottle, especially on ports, the cap stays twisted on, and the ice is still ice when you get to the beach! squadron Posted February 5, 2017 #7 Share Posted February 5, 2017 I don't think the inconvenience of and weight of hauling water on board is worth the effort. Lots of water to drink on board. If you want bottles for excursions - either take an insulated bottle of water from the ship or buy the odd bottle of water on shore (will be cold from the place of purchase). Staff shouldn't have to haul water cases to the rooms in additional to suitcases.
JoshuaA Posted February 5, 2017 #8 Share Posted February 5, 2017 fwiw, it's $3/bottle at Sunset Grill in St. Maarten and often $2 at most of the other cruise herd locations we visited.
easyboy Posted February 6, 2017 #9 Share Posted February 6, 2017 I have been reading mixes messages about bringing water onboard. Can we do it? You can. They are not strict on bottled water brought onboard.
Rare LMaxwell Posted February 6, 2017 #10 Share Posted February 6, 2017 What is the mixed message? The cruise line says "no" pretty clearly, but the reality is it is rarely ever enforced. Certainly worth the $3 to try; better than even chances of getting it delivered.
