EdmundXXIII Posted February 9, 2017 #1 Share Posted February 9, 2017 Hello! I will be sailing on the Carnival Legend on April 19th, Hawaii to Vancouver. I can't find many posts about the Legend in my searches, but have a a few questions, if anyone has been onboard and can answer! Does the Legend have the American Table / American Feast Menus, or the older ones? Or something else, since she's been sailing Australia? Is the large hot tub in the Spa / Gym area free to use? I see on the map men's & women's sauna and steam rooms marked separately? I know the Legend doesn't have the full thermal suites like a Cloud 9 Spa, but what is the steam room like? Has there been any information about when the Carnival Hub App will be available on the Legend? I used the app on my last two cruises on the Breeze and the Sunshine and loved it! Thanks a million! According to Carnival- The App is scheduled to be available (subject to change) as follows: Carnival Legend on February 23; Carnival Liberty on March 5; Carnival Dream on March 19; Carnival Fascination - not yet scheduled. So it should be available by the time you board on April 19th. Have a great cruise!!

Has there been any information about when the Carnival Hub App will be available on the Legend? I used the app on my last two cruises on the Breeze and the Sunshine and loved it! Thanks a million! We were on Legend for the Hawaii to Vancouver sailing this past May and had a wonderful cruise! There were some small differences in the way that things were done, as some of the policies are different between the Australia cruises and the US cruises. Our sailing was considered the first US sailing after the Legend spent the winter months in Australia. The staff were not trained on the new US policies until several days into our cruise that began in Honolulu, for instance: Specialty Coffee Punch Cards - Buy 6, get 1 Free. Not available! When I asked about it the guy making coffee looked at me like I was crazy. I told him it is available on all ships, according to John Heald. He said that no, it wasn't available on this ship. About a week into the cruise they appeared and had probably been drug out of a storage room somewhere. Smoking - On Australia cruises there is no smoking in the casino or the dance club at all. Even the staff were unaware that there were 2 sets of Legend smoking plans on the Carnival web site. As soon as they opened the casino some people started lighting up, there were confused and bewildered bar and casino staff running around, and soon the ashtrays appeared but this did take some time. The experienced cruisers didn't put their cigarettes out when asked and a few people had folded up copies of the smoking area deck plans that they showed the staff. Before long, it was indeed a standard Carnival casino with smoking on one side of the bar and at various machines. The Legend did not have America Table during my cruise. There were a few odds and ends of Australian things like "tomato sauce" vs. ketchup, but by the time we got to Vancouver those things were mostly used up. You can use the hot tub in the spa for no charge. We did not use the steam room. We did not plug in much during this cruise. Internet is easy enough to use for the first few days around the islands, and we put our phones away for the days at sea. It was wonderful. Don't miss the Sea Day Brunch! tonit964 Posted February 10, 2017 #6 Share Posted February 10, 2017 We were on the Legend in August and it had the old/regular menu. The hot tub in the gym is free to use. I can't comment about the Hub app. When I was on the Miracle (sister ship) last November and used the gym, the women's steam room/sauna was I guess kind of small, I didn't use it but walked by them. There wasn't anyone there at the time but I think they would hold about 8 people.
