out2pla Posted February 27, 2017 #1 Share Posted February 27, 2017 I'm torn between two itineraries- 1) 2 days in Cabo, 1 day in PV 2) 1 day in Cabo, 1 day in PV, 1 day in Mazatlan Which would you do if you had a choice? Is it worth seeing Mazatlan, or is it better to have the second day in Cabo? (I've never been to either of the three ports).
SuiteTraveler Posted February 27, 2017 #2 Share Posted February 27, 2017 The 2 day in Cabo means you could get off the ship and go to a restaurant in Cabo during the evening. Mazatlan is a really great place with fun shore excursions. So, what you need to decide is if you are interested in getting off the ship in the evening in Cabo or if you would prefer to see an extra port instead. johno1234 Posted February 27, 2017 #3 Share Posted February 27, 2017 Personal preference for me is to get the third port in. I am really looking forward to Mazatlan and wouldn't want to miss it. A bit more Mexico and a bit less tourist resort.
SadieN Posted February 27, 2017 #4 Share Posted February 27, 2017 (edited) At night the ship leaves the bay in Cabo. Our favorite 7day itins are, in order 1. PV Overnight (ship docks overnight) 1. Cabo, PV, Mazatlan 3. Cabo, Cabo, PV First two are tied in favorite. That being said our next MR cruise is Cabo/Cabo/PV. Date won out over itin. Evidently, Princess does stay longer in Cabo doing the same itin. *** Hint-- the first day tendering is a madhouse, almost recommend a ship's tour that day. The second day there's barely a wait. CoW mAn Posted February 27, 2017 #5 Share Posted February 27, 2017 Mazatlan! It has the El Cid resort excursion which is a great deal on it's own but then you can do cheap parasailing on the beach as well! UbQjO7-l0Y8
johno1234 Posted February 27, 2017 #6 Share Posted February 27, 2017 Is that the Marina Beach El Cid or Moro Beach El Cid?
CoW mAn Posted February 27, 2017 #7 Share Posted February 27, 2017 Is that the Marina Beach El Cid or Moro Beach El Cid? I want to say Marina but I'm not 100% on that...was all inclusive...had a lot to drink that day ;p
BenjiRodney Posted February 27, 2017 #8 Share Posted February 27, 2017 I booked the one with all three stops for next October since we have never been to the Pacific side of Mexico before. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
riffatsea Posted February 27, 2017 #9 Share Posted February 27, 2017 We prefer visiting all 3 ports. Each one is different. IF we had to pick a 2 port cruise we'd take the overnight in Puerto Vallarta as Cabo is our least favorite port as using a tender to get in and out is tedious. Also we think it is the least "Mexican" feeling port being closer to the USA and with chillier water.
louanne93 Posted February 27, 2017 #10 Share Posted February 27, 2017 Of all three ports Mazatlán is our favorite, then Puerto Vallarta, then Cabo. I would never miss Mazatlán!

PV and Mazatlan are real Mexican cities but both have areas catering to American tourists.

Cabo was decent and I liked PV as well. Im not a Cabo fan so I'd always pick #2. Sent from my SM-T377P using Tapatalk
