Favorite Non-Beach Activity

Yes, I know, its BARBADOS!! However, its our fifth island of the cruise.. wondering what everyone's favorite non-beach activity is. Is it worth walking around bridgetown? Whats the best rum tour to do?

St Nicholas Abbey :)

Great tour, grounds, refreshments. Plus an opportunity to buy some excellent rum.

This is something I have been looking at.. Obviously there will be cabs at the cruise ship terminal, but will it be easy to get back to port?

Never a problem with a taxi. If there was, the Abbey will call one girl you.

We enjoyed our tour of the island- especially the plantation houses.

We like walking from the port to the downtown area.

 

We walk along the side of the road closest to the water. It take about 30 minutes.

 

We visit areas including a very old church, one of the oldest synagogues and a few other areas. There are lots of stores downtown as well. There are also some monuments downtown.

 

On the way back to the ship we walk on the other side of the street and as we get closer to the ship on that road there are a few one of a kind stores we stop at.

Approx. comfortable 45 minutes, and we (4 pax) gave $50.00 for the whole taxi, including tip.
