Harmony LIVE, March 11th - 18th. Come Sail Away!!!

Recommended Posts

In a few days it's time for us to escape the winter. Sure, we've had less snow than last winter but I've had enough. At this point in my life any more than snow on Christmas Day is too much.

That sounds like a Southern Ontario perspective...speak for yourself! ;)

Here in Ottawa, we've had over 255cm of snow (so far)...well above our average winter snowfall.

We've still got 14cm on the ground...so I'm certainly ready for Harmony!!!

I have a feeling that many of you cruise lovers have some friends that don't cruise, don't like the idea of cruising, would never consider going on a cruise or have done one once and hated it. I have always said either you love cruising or you don't. Oh on a side note, your friends are quite possibly crazy.

I recently did an on-line survey for RC and there was a question where they asked - why do you cruise and rank my top 5 reasons from a list of many. I love it for so many reasons and if you hadn't figured it out already, without the help Captain Obvious, the main reason is the weather. However, the real answer is that I get to spend time with my family.

I suspect those reading along might feel the way this movie vignette makes me feel - make time for what you love and see the big picture. To quote Ferris Bueller "Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it".

If this brings a tear to your eye, just blame the invisible Ninja's that are cutting onions.

If the imbedded video doesn't work do a Google search on "A Balloon for Ben"

Have a great time! Following along....

Nice to see you again.

I'm going to try to follow you posting/scopes while I'm on Anthem next week (can't believe that cruise is here - took my first advice about the "newer" RCCL and "genies" from you!). My Mom is sad that she'll miss listening to your scopes since I'll be away. LOL

Hope you enjoy Anthem and your Genie experience. If you want to make her happy, you could show her the scope replays later.

Following. We will be on Harmony July 15th. Have a great trip and I can't wait for the updates. Your updates living up my day teaching and waiting for my cruise!!

Glad to help.

Have a wonderful time! Looking forward to reading more!

Thanks.

We are little soft here in the SW. I can bet one thing, the only ice either of us want to see on Saturday will be in a cold glass or ground up in a drink. ;)

Andrew, don't think I have ever read one of your live reports. I will read this one. Very good.

Have fun on the flowrider, but it doesn't seem like it has a chance in HE double hockey sticks of being an Unicorn cruise. March 11.... what are you thinking. Owen can stay in Canada, with grandparents, social services, anything, but a spring break cruise. O, the inhumanity.....

Will be on Harmony the end of April in the Presidential Suite / Four Bedroom Suite / Villa Suite (the name keeps changing). Same itinerary (which we have sailed before). Will be interested in all your reporting. Looking forward to the Cruise Compasses and great pictures you are posting and have posted in the past. Have a wonderful family cruise and make special memories.

This March break we are changing up our plans from the past years. We aren't doing a B2B because of Owen's hockey. We are however leaving Tuesday to go to Sarasota, specifically St Armand's and Lido Beach. We are going to join my mom for a few days pre-cruise and see a snowbird in its natural environment. I guess she is “living the dream”, mine at least.

This winter it has been bad enough that there are moose in Western Canada, specifically in Banff National Park area, that are busy licking the salt off of cars to get the minerals and nutrients to survive over the winter. If I'm licking salt to survive, it better be from a margarita or tequila and not from a car bumper.

I wasn't joking, the moose are actually licking cars. I can tell you one thing - I will never lick a moose or a car and I sure won't share my salted drink with them.

Hi Andrew,

Been waiting for this since your last adventure. I thought this thread was taking an interesting turn, between the topless Montreal driver and the "culinary excursion", but I'll settle for some great scopes of your loft suite and some warm weather.

Here in southern New England, snow has been average, but this week has been cold --- I have no use for the snow anymore, hence our second house in Florida which some day may be the winter homestead.

Safe travels.

Suffrage, a little appreciated movement. No actual unicorns this cruise but I do have a private rental already booked. Man made unicorns.

Oh boy...can't wait for another one.....

And yep...onions.....

Those damn ninjas.

Thank-you for tagging along again. You should have a blast, no matter the name of the cabin.

I'm in Andrew and looking forward to this break from tax season, when I can!

I hope I can help you out.

John, I love it. That is a great use for salt.

I feel for yah. Yes there have been a few interesting turns so far. Not as good as the "how private is the balcony thread" on the main RC boards right now. That one is a gem. [emoji3]

Bags are packed and we are ready to depart tomorrow morning. I did think about bringing a couple of extra items. Prime example, relate to both number 1 and 2. As I walked thought Costco I spotted the perfect item to hock in Harmony's Central Park at night.

Central Park NYC has "vendors", why not the one on Harmony too. I could set up in the corner by the living wall. You know, to make up the money lost in the casino or a little shopping money for the amazing sales in the RP.

You never know, I might need a few dozen watches and Lisa might want a suitcase of scarfs and hats. Maybe even a few inches of gold, like Mr T for the old schoolers or Jay Z for the young ones. You just never know. As I was standing there in deep thought wondering where the Costco is in Fort Lauderdale, I was disrupted by a loud speaker requesting a clean up in aisle two.

I decided to pass for a multitude of reasons, Lisa being the first. Yet somehow I could still hear Yorkvillain whispering in my ear "do it, do it."

So true, that is destined to be a classic thread.

I also found this on-line, but don't ask me how or where. If you want one a quick Google search should point you in the right direction.

We would never use it, but one could call it the ultimate booze smuggling device. It could also expedite your wine service at dinner in the MDR and add a bit of extra curve to your lady's body. A possible win-win for your better half, after all who likes to wait for their wine at dinner even if a little tepid.

For the man in your life, just think of Frank Constanza's Manssiere. I don't know if it lifts and separates or just flattens. The jokes could keep flowing, but I shall stop myself.

I will be bringing these items along for photo documentation.

A Joby Griptight and a DJI Osmo Mobile gimbal. Pictures and videos will be handled by a newly purchased iPhone 7s Plus and backed up by an iPad Air 2.

Lisa just got a 7 Plus in January and I have been suffering from Pixel envy every since. It is just so much bigger and better. On top of that, I will be using descriptive prose with a side of mental imagery, provided by you the reader. We will wait and see how well that part of the review goes. ;)

Hahaha!!! Love it!! I am pretty sure my husband can relate to this one.. He just mentioned the dust was getting a little thick on the table, I handed him the pledge and a dust mitt...I'm busy reading cruise critic reviews.:)

Enjoy your cruise, I loved the Harmony last November, I don't think I see it happening anytime soon again so I will enjoy seeing it again through your review.

Thanks

A Squatty Potty 2-pack! Hopefully nobody needs to use both at the same time.

I'm trying to unwind as tomorrow morning will come quickly, especially with the alarm set for 6. Lisa has the Bachelor on, and now it's The Women Tell All. I don't even know what to say.

However one thing did get my attention, an ad. An ad for

One ad and 4 emails just today, enough already RC. You will have me as a captive audience on Saturday, give me a few days break. I guess I have an idea of how Nick must feel.

Things have only gotten better as the night has progressed. I can't make this stuff up, not to mention you are really going to wonder where I find this stuff.

You can indirectly thank Lisa for this one. A friend of her's liked it and it had was laughing. This mom to be posted 8 minutes of live feed, with her pacing in her natural habitat.

I don't which is better, the real giraffe or this knock off.
