jancl57 Posted March 10, 2017 #26 Share Posted March 10, 2017 I've only been on 4 cruises (2 more booked, 1 in June and 1 in Feb 2018, both on NCL) I may have preferred one cruise line over the other, but I LOVED all 4. Last one was June of 2017, 9 night Mediterranean cruise out of Rome. It there was an adjective better then perfect, I would use that to describe it. wdsted Posted March 10, 2017 #27 Share Posted March 10, 2017 We've done over 30 cruises and every one of them was awful. Pure misery. The thing is, though, we love to get home, log on to CC, and complain about every trivial thing we can think of. Very satisfying! mdsgu Posted March 10, 2017 #28 Share Posted March 10, 2017 A few hiccups here and there, but nothing terrible. Beats a day at work for sure!

Action Dave Posted March 10, 2017 #32 Share Posted March 10, 2017 Never had a bad cruise..Perhaps our next one will be the one, but i dont think so. Panama Canal, full Transit San Francisco to Miami. Its never the cruise or people or ships personnel it is always my Attitude and perception. When I remove the word blame from my word thought and act all is well.:cool::cool:
luvtheships Posted March 10, 2017 #33 Share Posted March 10, 2017 All of my days on cruises are good. My port days however are great. My evenings are exactly what I want...entertainment...dinner...entertainment...sleep. My sun deck sea days are very nice because I don't need to sit by the pool or bar and know how to avoid smokers Overall my cruises...which i use as a floating hotel are very nice.... of course.... I know to avoid the unbreathable air in the casino I know to not drink to excess or stay up until 3am I know not to expect fine dining but just to expect decent food Sent from my iPhone using Forums
Bootman4U Posted March 10, 2017 Author #34 Share Posted March 10, 2017 Seriously ?? I have never been on a cruise that was not better than OK. If I went on say 2 cruises in a row that did not meet the OK standard, which really is not that hard, I probably would not cruise again on that line. Are you the same poster that said they were low maintenance in the "Haven Request" thread then posted about 15 things they request pre cruise ?? LOL! No, but I read that one, too. I'd hate to see what a "high maintenance" cruiser is like.

Rare KeithJenner Posted March 10, 2017 #37 Share Posted March 10, 2017 In all my cruises, I can only think of a few specific issues which have been less than OK. Most of those things were fairly minor. Silly little things really, like having to rearrange some things when Cirque was cancelled (at the start of the cruise, not due to weather), or when there was a special Easter menu in the MDR that messed our plans up. Nothing that did any more than annoy me for a while. The only more major thing that has happened was when I was on the Escape. They kept running my account over despite me moving between three different cabins and having different people with me in each cabin (don't ask, it's nothing like it sounds). Eventually, the system gave up, and I had a few hours when my key wouldn't open my door and eventually it stopped working at the bars too. It was annoying, but quite funny at the time. They did give me some SDP, I've got a pretty unique keycard, and quite a good story for quiet nights in o'Sheehans, so it worked out OK in the end. Other than that, I have really never had any issues onboard that I can recall. Maybe the occasional annoying passengers (the ones running riot on the mini golf were a pain). Shoreside, it hasn't all been so smooth. I've had quite a few changes and cancellations, but I have to say they have all worked out pretty well, often with improved itineraries. I just wish they'd get them right in the first place.
