tennboy1981 Posted March 12, 2017 #1 Share Posted March 12, 2017 Didn't carnival used to have a cameraman who went around and filmed the happenings on the ship in which you could purchase the DVD at the end of the cruise? If so, can you purchase them after you left the ship? Just curious
crusinpsychRN Posted March 12, 2017 #2 Share Posted March 12, 2017 Purchased on board. Haven't seen them lately.
Shaded Lady Posted March 12, 2017 #3 Share Posted March 12, 2017 Wow- that just raised a memory! I can remember back in 1998 we ordered a VCR tape of the Carnival Inspiration before we went on that cruise! It was free from Carnival's marketing department and showed all the various parts of the ship and the things you could do onboard. We had that tape for years! crusinpsychRN Posted March 12, 2017 #4 Share Posted March 12, 2017 The one OP is talking about is one filmed on your trip. You might see yourself dancing, lying in the sun, on stage.

Tampa8 Posted March 13, 2017 #7 Share Posted March 13, 2017 I don't remember seeing it being done or being offered to buy a video on my recent cruises.
SmoothFlying Posted March 13, 2017 #8 Share Posted March 13, 2017 I would think this service would be obsolete since people have video cameras on their phones and tablets. I read on a post here where someone said the Carnival CEO said, 'If enough people showed intrest in buying the DVD, Carnival might reinstate the taping practice', or words to that effect. I guess he meant they weren't selling enough to make it cost effective. A shame, though, we brought 4 or 5 of them when they were sold in the photography shop on the last full sail day. If memory serves me correctly, it was less than $15. The camera crews were experts at blending in the passengers. To watch over the years brought back so many wonderful memories. I, also, would love to see them start back. Mac
louanne93 Posted March 13, 2017 #9 Share Posted March 13, 2017 We always bought this cd on RCI when the kids were little. They ALWAYS seemed to get themselves on camera! Lol! Not sure if I would buy one now as all my kids are grown and in either college or the military!
